My list of publications dates back to 1975, when I began writing articles about teaching. Over the years, I have written about a wide range of subjects: classroom management, composition theory and practice, and peer mediation/conflict resolution. In 1993, my poem, "blue," was accepted by The Black Fly Review. It became a turning point in my personal writing in that I shifted from prose to poetry.

In 1998, when I returned to painting, a phenomenon occurred: I would finish a painting or a poem, but lack an emotional resolution or satisfaction. I turned to the other mode of expression in order to quiet my muse. To date, reciprocity has occurred about 10% of the times when I write or paint. I have recently completed a manuscript that is made up of reciprocally-inspired poems and paintings, Reciprocity. To read more about it and to see samples from it, click here.
